Hey skunk,just so you know the girls that got miss nov-dec were most def in the running. Its just that right before you joined the site those girls were in the top 10 before the votes started getting reset because people complaining about cheating. Shauna Jiselle and Suzsunshine have both talked to me on several occasions so they are real people i have shauna on my myspace she is a nice person. Ohh and Jessika Violet too, she was most def #2 at one point if not #1 actually. Those girls really earned it before the reset so im not surprised they got picked. I don't know everything about the contest but these are the details that have been made clear to us that a winner will be chosen as a finalist they dont necessarily even have to be in 1st but he did insinuate that someone from the top 10 would be picked for the monthly pick. Mr. High Times doesn't currently get anything I don't think, but if they ever do us girls will know the guys that have been there for the long haul and some of the guys have been featured in the HT mag for their crops so keep an eye out. None of us girls want people to leave. When the upgrades come up hopefully we will stop getting hate mail and we can in the meantime chat it up. =) hope to see a lot of the good peeps come back to the site

I gotta second that Bobby, it's getting way out of hand and no offense dude but....WHERE ARE THE UPGRADES!? I started out with this contest thinking it would be a good thing and great for people to get to know each other but so far there is a lot of hate going on. And there is tons of talk of Mr. HT getting nothing, what is the contest for? Just PR? If so I guess thats pretty cool. Would be cooler if Mr. HT was a legal grower and got a full page spread in the mag at least. Maybe taking some time to address these issue would be a good idea instead of never being on here and only updating things that don't effect us as the community. I mean I thought there is a Miss HT contest going on, how the hell do you get to Miss HT's for November & December when neither of them is in the running? These are the things that should be addressed, not smokerella. Just my dumbass opinion take it for what it is worth, but if the this contest was going right I wouldn't have to give my dumb 2 cents.

I've tried leaving this whole competition due to death threats, people wishing I would get raped, & I see this on other girls pages as well. You will probably read over this like you do every other post, but take into consideration a lot of people have KILLED THEMSELVES over internet bullying! & that is ALL your site is becoming. Look at Stoneys, Miss Lolo, Miss Kisa, ALL of the top girls. You know it seems to me that many of the top spot girls may indeed have some inflated scores going on. I find that sad and am glad to say I don't think that's really an issue on the mens portion, at least not yet, I'm sure someone will begin to cheat eventually (I luckily have my cookie settings set that I cannot go back and clear them and vote for myself over and over, like some other people have been doing on the site)

Okay, this is the last message I'm going to leave about this mess...

First...the first time I ever saw Jessika Violet was on the site's top 10 list. I've never met her, nor to my knowledge has anyone else on the staff. As for Smokearella, I met her for about 2 minutes at the Cup when she came up to me to say she was a fan. Many past contestants had met members of the HT staff before, because they attend pot-related events. Are we supposed to disqualify every girl we happen to encounter from the contest simply because we happened to run into them at a rally or party? Or should we reward them for proving that they're real, hardcore stoners who care enough about the cause to go out of their way to be at weed events? Think about it.

Second...Neither I nor our webmaster have deleted anyone's comments as far as I know. The only time a comment might be deleted is if it was considered threatening or harassing. And if you leave a comment like that, you deserve to have it deleted. As of now, there are no plans to delete anyone's comments or profiles, so my advice to all of you is to GET OVER IT. You have all allowed some anonymous mischief maker who posts hateful, controversial crap to get all of your panties in a bunch. Don't get caught up in it. be enlightened enough to ignore it.

Third...I am not "sticking up" for Smokearella. I don't know her, nor do I know her attackers, nor do I know who posted any of the messages. Frankly, I don't know or care whether she's innocent or guilty, nor do I care who started this whole thing. To me it's all very childish and unbecoming of any Miss HT contestant. All I was saying is that you should all acknowledge the very real possibility that it might not have been her who posted those comments...that it could have been anyone. As I said earlier, no one who engages in hateful behavior or is suspected of cheating will be picked as a finalist. PERIOD. You know who WILL get picked? Pretty girls with legitimate high rankings that have good photos and nice things to say. If that describes you, then you have nothing to worry about.

Now...do you think you can all move on from this? Or do you plan on spending the rest of the year complaining about it and making yourselves look bad in the process?

that's exactly what we did for the past few years-we picked girls that weren't really in the top 10 or 20, and people bitched that the votes didn't count for anything and that we were choosing finalists too arbitrarily. It seems like no matter what we do, there are going to be people who bitch about it. So from now on, we're going to choose people from among the viewer's favorites. We will not choose anyone who appears to be cheating, overly slutty or not a real stoner, but other than that we're leaving it mostly up to the fans. If we determine at a later date that this policy isn't working out, we can always change it. But we're way too busy to go searching through the thousands of profiles every month looking for a "diamond in the rough." If you want to get noticed, get some votes. Sorry.

yeah but bobby, dont you guys pretty much only pick the girls on like the top 2 pages? there could be a great finalist on page 10 or even page 30 but they prob wont get noticed. i Mean i understand the higher youre score the more you get noticed but you guys should maybe look a little farther if you want an honest winner. It shouldnt JUST be about the score. Especially since others have been signed up longer than others meaning of course they have had more time to get more votes. I dont know i love this site and competition but just saying.. :/

why would a hater bump her score up? because by doing so, you can then accuse her of cheating and have her disqualified, that's why. if you cant vote someone down, voting them way up unfairly is the next best thing to get them out of the way. But again, votes alone don't determine finalists, they only bring you to our attention. And if the attention they bring is negative, having the most votes won't count for much.

Ladies,
It's pretty obvious to our webmaster who is cheating and who isn't. If a huge number of votes rack up in a matter of hours, or all votes come from only one or two IP addresses, then we can easily identify this. And I promise you that anyone who we identify as cheating will bot be chosen as a finalist. So stop worrying about who has the most votes and start worrying about who has the right attitude and the best pictures, because that's the main criteria we use to determine our finalists.

I was logged in but now its saying otherwise. But I'm happy that everything is getting worked out, nobody likes cheating in a competition. It's makes since that "Smokearella" wasn't the one leaving the comments on people's page's including mine. For all of us chicks that ignored the comments, I give a thumbs up. Although, I must say that I did watch the inflation happen, were talking thousands in a couple short mins. I cannot say that I do not think that she was cheating. I just can't believe that she jumped so high with so much negativity going on.
I smoked a fatty before I came to see the change to her number one position and went to check the new numero one and lost my high!
I hope that all of the negative comments on ANY of the girls pages can be deleted, it's horrible to work your way up and have haters! You've put the work into it, you deserve it.

I did comment on that page but did not call anyone bad names nor was I hateful. I couldn't believe how everyone was acting either. Quite frankly I was appalled by all the horrible reactions and I also don't care if it affects my votes, I am a kind and loving person and hope that I won't be lumped in with the hateful comments from some of the contestants.

"resetting all the votes will just benefit the cheaters. Instead of resetting the count why don't you just compare growths of scores over time. This way you can spot the outrageous point gains that some people get. I've been around the sight for a long time and I have seen some people jump to the top 10 overnight then act like it never happened. Also there are people who have participated in this competition who have not cheated and it would be unfair to those people to reset their scores just because of a few bad apples. Instead of punishing everyone why don't you pick out the bad apples and get rid of them."

Hightimes should not be defending such an obvious cheater and make bs remarks that "a hater is inflating smokearellas score." What are you looking for HT? Honest good-looking pot smoking women or cheating, manipulative, haters. It seems that your looking for the latter since you just let people cheat their way to the top. there is no integrity in this competition. It's not even a misshightimes competition anymore it seems, now its just who can vote for themselves the most or find the best ways to cheat. Like clearing cookies and changing ip addresses and such. Can't even run a simple contest right.

This whole situation makes me not want to be a part of Miss Hightimes pageant.
Knowing that certain contestants personally know Hightimes staff, who's profiles have been questionable?
Why would anyone other than that person or a "friend" inflate someone else score? that just seems silly?
It is clear that there has been trolling going on, but why didn't Smokearella attempt to login & let people know it was NOT her?
If this had happened to me I would be sure to login & let others know it is NOT me leaving hateful comments & that it is an imposter!

This comment might make me lose voters, or friendly comments, I don't know, but I just want to voice an opinion. I have been in this competition for almost a month now. This is my first time doing it. I always saw the ganja girl of the month in HT and read about the pagent and was dying to just even be involved. I know we can probably all agree that this site is amazing. I have genuinely enjoyed talking to several people on here and looking at thier beautiful buds, bongs and such and how everyone on here is so chill and down to earth... basically what you would expect from a bunch of stoners :) Over the past week I've just kinda been sitting back and reading this girl's comments and I am just stunned. I believe MHT should not be represented by any of you leaving things on here. Nor by someone who feels they need to take half naked pictures to succeed. Nor by those of you who barely have any weed related photos. Sorry to say, :/ but I feel all of you are better than this. Don't you realize this is just a huge hater who is trying to bring down a once peaceful and bonding site for stoners all around? And that some of you have been sucked into their nonsense? Stoners don't participate in unnecessary drama, come on guys. And if something is really going on, they will take care of it. No matter what anyone says it's HT who decides who wins and who doesn't. I know cheaters make everyone angry, including me, but no one knows for sure. The girl hadn't even logged in until finally today. I truly do not think it was her. I'm not trying to cause more problems, I just think everyone should ignore all the bull, and go smoke some Maryjane :) There are some truly amazing people on this site and I would be honored to meet and smoke with any of them someday.

cutestonedchick: the comments made using your name were also not made with a "hotlinked" name, so I'm guessing that you're telling the truth about not leaving them. basically, any comments that arent left by a person logged in with a profile are suspect, so don't take them at face value. My advice is to simply ignore them. We are trying to work it out so that users will be able to delete comments from their profiles...if that happens, this wont be a problem anymore.
