I want to thank everyone for the love and support because I couldn't have done it with out you.Becoming High Times Miss October.... IS FREAKING RAD!!I am happy all my hard work is paying off. I have a feeling this is just the being of my journey and I can't wait to see what's around every twist and turn. Sorry I haven't been able to leave as many comments during the summer. Although I know I stay in touch with most of you ladies through myspace and FB. I have just been busy enjoying life and my family. Not to mention I've been kicking some major ass in my garden. I've posted 3 new blogs.One gives an update on the progress in my garden. I'm just waiting for them to be approved. I love love love my MHT girls.I can't wait to see which ladies I will have the pleasure of burning with in Amsterdam.I will be going this year and next year. The medical marijuana laws that recently changed here in Maine are starting to take affect , Dispensaries are going up.. growing stores ..Its great and Im so glad to be a part of it, Im a caregievr now...and I love it, I help low income patients...i want to becone a breeder one day , but that I know takes years of experience..I think there is a strain of marijuana that can help EVERY ailment...and one day i hope to create strains like that..but until then ill keep doin what im doin...=) well girl hope the rest of your weekend is great and that whatever it is your doing is maken you smile!

sorry i have been gone for so long- actually i have mostly been living in the woods, kicking it at my yearly festivals. so- WISTERIA! (wisteria.org for all you newcomers) that is where its at. first was solstice, very nice- everyone was so ready to let go and just get down. but starwood, man oh man thats where it was at for me. seriously one of the best festivals i have ever been to. amazing people. wonderful vibes. 100 foot tall fires, puppets, and more interesting people than you can ever imagine. i missed my stony friends though! hope ya'll are doing well, and smoking the finest of the finest this summer.

I am pretty sure you have heard by now that San Diego has once again been hit with raids. I am now going through two for two in this beautiful city. San Diego needs support..Please, show your support for my community. Raid after raid in this city makes it real hard to stay operating, ya dig? Don't you agree that this is a perfect time for High Times to get involved in SD.....I mean how many cities have been hit back-to-back with raids. Every freaking year we have one. I have only been operating since 4-20-09 and have witnessed two....come on......I care about my city and fight everyday for our safe access to medicine...really, look me up! To all of the wonderful, beautiful stoner ladies I've met and hope to meet:
I never send mass messages, but I experienced something this past weekend that relates to our cause, and renewed my motivation to FIGHT for legalization. I want to share my story with all of you.

I went with my boyfriend, my brother and my roommate to the national smoke-in in Washington DC on July 4th. It was my first time, but everyone else had been before and told stories about previous smoke-ins. They told me about the crowd rallying against police when they tried to arrest two smokers on 4:20. Everyone lit up around the cops, and they couldn't arrest the crowd, so they were forced to let everyone go. Stories like these made me so excited about so many passionate people in one place. It was held in Henry Bacon Ball Field in the middle of Washington DC. We got there around 2 and there were maybe 50 other people there. The crowd grew as the day went on...but NO ONE was smoking and everyone was scattered around the edges of the field, where the cops were. COPS EVERYWHERE! There were at least 15 uniformed officers and we were sure of 6 undercovers, maybe more. Every half hour a parade of cop cars, swat vans, etc would sail by, sirens blaring. There was a giant SPY TOWER set up over the field. Choppers hovered over the area periodically. The show of tyranny was disgusting. These measures were not taken to protect the crowd, they were to scare people into submission. We were told to light up at our own risk. As it was a PROTEST my group did so. multiple times. We were extremely careful and avoided undercovers and we were never caught. Others were not so lucky. One group started smoking and were busted almost immediately. They did not consent to a search but were all searched anyway. I immediately ran over as soon as I saw police approaching and expected everyone to follow. I turned around and maybe 10 people stood with me to shout "let them go!" in stoner solidarity. We were outnumbered by the 20 cops that led the 2 offenders away. It was such a disappointing moment, because we let them win. Fellow stoners stood by and watched as two of their peers had their rights violated. Similar events happened throughout the day. The ridiculous police presence scared people out of standing up for their rights! The woman's rights movement did not succeed because of scared, meek women who feared the law, or feared facing obstacles. The civil rights movement did not succeed because people who feared authority and bowed to oppression. To achieve victory over oppressors you have to be fearless! Yo have to be ready to fight, ready to sacrifice yourself for the bigger picture. The government will only continue to control us IF WE LET THEM. I'm calling on everyone I know, stoner or not, to recognize the extremity of our governments power and it's constant abuse of this power. We can and will defeat them if we stop being ninnies and woman-up for our cause and our rights.

On June 7th they closed down 400+ shops that couldn't comply with the new city orders.

It's Saturday and the sun finally came out, I try to stay upbeat but it's sad around here sometimes. A couple cities outright banned medical marijuana all together, a group of moms sent a newsletter home with 300 kids informing them that pot is taking over and the potheads have lied, marijuana is available in a pill. They went so far that other parents saw it as an all out attempt to get kids to turn in their own parents. My clinic is safe right now and I keep telling myself to go forward and educate even though no one really sees the whole picture. One of my patients passed away, he was 27 and knew it was coming, asked me to just help him experience what being a paraplegic in kidney failure didn't...so I brought him a strain a day until he left and I know he was happy and that makes me feel a little ok. Sorry this is long, I don't get to do this often lol :-) We should remember to be thankful for everything and try to educate and spread love...blaze on sis here's your tens!!

P.S. It was nice to hear about marijuana helping your asthma. It helps mine to and I hate when people look at me like I am a crazy person and say,"OMG you smoke and you have asthma" But the truth is it really does open my lungs way better than any inhaler I have ever had. Plus inhalers taste like poo ugh : P

Sorry to copy & paste this all to my favorite stoner sistas & sorry to not show so much love lately, but I've been quite busy trying to become more so involved in the activist community around my area of North Carolina & trying to get my schooling worked out! (: I recently ingested marijuana & used a vaporizer & I must say, I think this COULD be the cure to my anxiety disorders! I honestly have never, ever had any pill work as well as marijuana helped me. It was much more of an euphoric, very good feeling high than I get when I actually smoke it. Very fun experience, must do again! So now I'm very, very motivated in trying to get it legal around here, or at least be able to get medical.

Anyway, I hope you're doing lovelyyyy, though. Came by to FINALLYYY show some love & of course drop off a 50 sack of dimes! I know you're staying blazed, as we all are. (; So no need to tell ya to keep it lit. :P

I came down with an upper respiratory tract infection and the flu on Mother's Day that put me in the hospital for a night, but thankfully the kind herb has been helping me make a quick and full recovery. I've been rebuilding my smoking tolerance to help my lungs heal and have been making all kinds of great edibles; Everything from eating TCH cookies, downing homemade THC glycerin drops extracted from vegetable oil, (consumed either straight under the tongue or mixed in any kind of food or drink) and even made THC lollipops to help as an expectorant as well as being one dank ass treat. I hope all is good in your neck of the woods. Things for me have been going great, I have a new man in my life, its in the early exciting stages, and I couldnt be happier. Just a quick question, where I am from (which would be the greater Milwaukee area) we have always called a half eighth a teen, or teener because its short for sixteenth. But when i moved down to Madison no one has ever heard of that, so the question is, what do you call a half eighth, just wondering if us calling it a teen is just something we do, or lots of stoners across the nation.

hey there. well to start i guess congrats are in order for the newest Miss High Times. Hope it's all going really well for you. I just got done reading the article High Times did about the mostly legal pot farm you're working at in Colorado. it sounds like such a great learning experience. i love smoking the green but i'm ridiculously tired of being put in shady situations to get my meds, ya know. so i'm planning on starting a small growing operation to supply just me and my close friends. you think you could help me out with some tips and ideas on good natural ways to get the most bang for your buds, good strands for growing indoors and just things ya need to know to grow? it would be such a help to pick your brain a little. there is so much i don't understand that goes into growing and harvesting and curing. any help would be much appreciated. thanks,

some dimes...thanks for the kind words..hope you have fun on your upcoming trips I thought I read you maybe going to amsterdam..that would be sooo cool....totally agree with your sign weed is safer than liquor....I drove today after a smoking session even drove more alert...when drive after 6 drinks or sooo there maybe a surve in the road a bit...
