i am very sorry to hear about what happened. the only advice i can give you is to contact NORMAL and see if anyone can help, you can also try and research online lawyers in your area who deal with that kind of stuff. my mother actually went through the same crap about 8 months ago. the cops busted in her house and found 2 pounds of pot. she did 3 months in county and is on probation for 5 years. im not sure what the laws for your state are but do your reaserch and know your laws! and most importantly, know your rights, dont talk to anyone without your lawyer present. im sorry that i couldn't be of anymore help to you but i wish you luck and will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. keep your head up girl, things will get better. much love and respect. xoxox

What are the laws in your state? Did you try to contact NORML?
Does your husband have any priors?
If you or your husband have no priors then hopefully the judge will show some leniency.... all you can do is hope for the best, I guess.
My gf recently moved form CA. to Idaho, a good friend of hers is a grower in Oregon so she met them at a hotel in Oregon to make the exchange, they made the mistake of smoking in their hotel rooms & the clerk told them they better leave or they would call the police, she left immediately and as she was getting on the highway the police pulled her over and she was arrested in Oregon for 4oz in the trunk of her car, each was wrapped in an oz. so she also got intent to distribute.
They tried to pressure her as to who she got it from, e.t.c. and she wouldn't give her friend up.
It is her 1st offense, she is looking at a felony 10 yrs. in prison & up to $100,000 fine.
She hired a pricey a lawyer and they are hoping to get the chargers dropped, pay a minimal fine, 1 yr. diversion program & probation, if completed she will get the charge erased from her record.
Sounds like you are in a tough situation and have a lot to lose. Has the court appointed you a public defender?
Do you know what charges you are looking at?

Im really sorry to hear about that, hopefully they will let you guys go. They probly want you to give up "bigger fish" and thats bullshit! You always got to watch what you say around strange people. I know that every were right now is in hard times but the best advice i have is to find a school and start a career in something you love....maybe something to do with children? Its so much easier to find a good job and you can find some cheep schools(+ financial aid). Try to build a foundation (better life) that no one can ever take away your education from you. I hope things look up ill keep you in my prays! Good Luck with everything!

oh no girl thats horrible. people are shady i watch my back all the time here at school you never know whos going to rat you out. im so sorry to hear about that. i'm broke too all my money went to my fines for my charges and i'm stuck also. its hard to become a patient here in PA and theres jobs in my area either. i don't know what to say except keep your head up girl and things will get better! God won't throw anything at you in life if you can't handle it. thats a better way of looking at it i guess
