Please do all you can do in your state to help legalize marijuana

    Join the Marijuana Policy Project

Here is my email i recieved from them :

Thank you for contacting your legislators. It is with the help of people like you that we will end the criminalization of New York's sick and dying residents. When you hear back from your legislators, please e-mail the responses to me at NMamber@mpp.org, so we can lobby them more effectively.

Please also follow up by calling and asking each legislator if he or she supports allowing the medical use of marijuana. You can find their names and contact information at https://ssl.capwiz.com/mpp/state/main/?state=NY&view=myofficials using your zip code. Please remember to be polite, as we are trying to engage, and not alienate, New York's policy makers.

Your personal contact will have a stronger impact than you imagine. Some legislators may not realize how important medical marijuana can be to the seriously ill. Education and constituent contacts have been key to changing minds and enacting medical marijuana laws in other states, and they will be in New York as well.

Also, we need patients and advocates to speak out. If you are a patient, a loved one, a medical professional, or a member of law enforcement or clergy who might be interested in speaking out, please contact us at state@mpp.org to see how you can be of special help in passing this legislation. Please include your nine-digit ZIP code so we can identify your legislators, and please share your connection with medical marijuana.

Don't forget to tell your family, friends, and neighbors to follow your lead and stand up for medical marijuana patients as well.

With your help, we can put New York on the path to be the next medical marijuana state. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

  • 386?

I was just on The State of NY Norml page. Did you guys know that there are only 386 friends on that page?? I am like whatttt because we cannot smoke weed legally and we have to go through all kindsa mess to get our smoke and sometimes i feel like people dont care to fight for this cause. I mean, there are people that are really sick suffering that could use some marijuana instead of these harsh medicines with these God Awful side effects. It keeps getting brought up and dropped. For all the weed smokers i know, i know there are more than 386 in new york. Maybe you just forgot to add them but i think we should all support Norml and there is basically a page for every state so you should all have them on your page if not in your top friends to let people know we are norml. No one is ever gonna hear us if we dont say anything
Watch this video i got off of NY Norml website at the end of the video call the number to tell the senate we need medical marijuana

This site has at least 4 links to voice your opinion about the legalization of medical marijuana to the assembly and senate. Please send a message to all of them and ask them to get a move on legalization

There is just something about this site...I have met some of the nicest, down to earth people ever here. Its amazing how i search literally high and low to connect with people on mental levels and it just doesnt happen with people that cant slow down for a minute to analyze thier lives and to not take things for granted. Here, where i am talking to people that are free minded enough to trust mother nature and take her herb and endulge themselves in without fear of rejection from common people. I notice the occupations of the members on this site and they range from doctors of medicine to artists, housewives, models, people from all walks of life. I find that everyone on this site has passion for what they do and what they believe in. I know i believe in being happy, loved, giving love to others and standing for something. Someday because of all of us that have had a voice and said that it was wrong that they are trying to keep us from having marijuana, not for any good reason..just because they want to. They are now saying its ok for some of us to have it medically and some of us cannot. I really enjoy looking at the smiling faces in the pics of people who are allowed to have this legally and have tons of it growning legally right in thier houses. One day i hope i will be able to do the same. In the meantime, thank you to everyone who is a member of NORML and who is active in the legalization of our baby girl, mary jane. XoXo mzstunna
