Colorado's Interesting Campaign To Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol
Mon Jul 11, 2011 3:48 pm
Yeah Colorado for instigating the legalization of recreational marijuana! Thank Goodness some states have started to step up and least 'decriminalize' Mary Jane! Now Colorado is going one better and trying to get recreational marijuana as legal as alcohol. A collective of marijuana activist groups and individuals including SAFER, Sensible Colorado, NORML and others are pushing for the innovative Campaign To Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol. I'm hopeful that this will help other states get the ball or joint rollin'. I am however unclear on all of the legal mumbo jumbo and terminology. I'm sometimes afraid of using the words 'legalize' because natural plants don't need to be legalized. I'm also afraid sometimes if we use these words they will only result in legal-lies. Or the scary possibility that big business could step in (since the have the rights of individuals now) and Mary Jane could be regulated by just profits or even is transformed into something less than natural, look at tobacco. Right now I'm really pushing for decriminalization at least in the backwoods state I call home. What do you all think? Decriminalize, Regulate, Legalize, De-prohibit, (is that a word?) or is there a way to just torch the original prohibition bill and wipe our rears with it? I'm unsure which is our safest option I want to be able to smoke too but if we rush into it I'm worried we could make it even harder on ourselves. Let me know what you think?

Scary Fact about the war on Marijuana Users, Decriminalize Now!
Fri Jul 01, 2011 12:11 pm
This world is sometimes so crazy I wonder if parallel worlds are this crazy!
We live in times where gas companies are allowed to drill next to our community water treatment plants, and elementary schools, but I can't grow a certain kind of plant !?
Some weird scary facts about the war on drugs that started just a little over 40 years ago.
~ People can lose EVERYTHING literally!
Civil forfeiture laws allow police to seize the money and property of suspected Marijuana offenders charges need not even be filed. The claim is against the property, no the defendant. The owner must then prove that the property is “innocent.” Enforcement abuses stemming from forfeiture laws are prevalent all over the world. ~SCARY~
We must do all we can for at least decriminalization of this sacred herb, sometimes I fear the word "legalization" because I'm afraid that big business will be able to patent cannabis, or tax it so heavily that it will be unaffordable, or permits will be impossible to get etc.....
It's said [nonpartisan analysis by the Connecticut Office of Fiscal Analysis estimated that decriminalizing simple possession of marijuana by imposing a $250 civil fine would save the state and local police departments $30 million per year and would save an additional $1.9 million in court and in court and probation costs].

Some of the things I do to support the legalization of Marijuana
Writing, Marching, Voting, Educating, Networking!
I always write to my congressmen and let them know how I feel about the issues I march whenever I can like tomorrow in the Worldwide Marijuana March I always research my candidates before I vote and even contribute to especially important ones I educate everyone one around sometime unintentionally I don't mind a challenging debate Now thanks to MHT and Weedbuz I now connect with others and exchange ideas about magical marijuana I wish I could do more. Sometimes it's hard being stuck in the hill of West Virginia but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. If anyone has an other ideas of how I can promote or support the cause let me know I contribute to NORMAL, and have worked at glass shops for years. Thanks for reading!
