Hello all you wonderful hightimes contestants and visitors! Thanks for coming by my humble pad :) My name is Alexandra Crenshaw and I am a 20 year old business owner, aspiring rock and roll musician, dreamer, lover, and marijuana connoisseur from Texas.
I bet at this point you are wondering…”What does this girl want from being on a Hightimes web page?” And the answer is simply this, I want weed to be legal. I would love the opportunity to be Miss Hightimes because I believe that I am a perfect contradiction to the justifications the government puts forth to keep marijuana illegal. I will do whatever it takes to educate and motivate as many people as I can to realize that these laws are in place only on the basis of many lies, and that we do not need to be, nor do we deserve to be scared of our government for our widespread marijuana culture. Yes, I’m sure some people might not be able to tell the extent of my fervor because of the tini bikini and the leisurely orchestrated counter top photo shoots. But this is a pageant after all and it has been entirely too much fun developing these sets around a very good cause. It is very empowering to be a contestant, and to be a face to represent such a misrepresented plant with all these other wonderful girls and guys. So take off your shoes, take a look around, and let me empower you by giving you a light, that is of course into the smoke and mirrors that surround a thing that you and I both love, Marijuana, and how close we are to the end of the prohibition, if the people of America will keep their republic.

Just remember this, even though money is bad for everyone right now, if something doesn’t happen soon and more and more of our fellow citizens are incarcerated for use of this plant, I will march us to Washington D.C., joint and hand in hand, armed with knowledge, truth, bud, and the very spirit of America. Our appeals will be addressed, we will no longer suffer the harsh consequences of these illogical laws, and we will not stop until we are satisfied. 1. According to one national survey on drug use, each day approximately 6,000 Americans try marijuana for the first time.

5. There are over 200 slang terms for marijuana in the popular vernacular.
6. The name marijuana comes from a Mexican slang term for cannabis and is believed to have derived from the Spanish pronunciation of the names Mary and Jane. (The two names were also common Mexican military slang for a prostitute or brothel.) Marijuana came into popularity as a name for cannabis in the U.S. during the late 1800s.
7. The cannabis plant can grow in nearly any environment and averages one to two inches of growth per day and up to 18 feet total in ideal conditions.
8. The primary active ingredient in marijuana is THC (delta 9 tetrhydrocannabinol). It is this chemical that produces marijuana’s mind-altering effects.

I can't believe I have been on the 1st page for a month!! Haha its crazy. I definitely do get excited thinking about the fact that someone must have seen it by now lol. Hope the website is going well! Obama definitely needs to make you a machine. Or just make weed federally legal!! haha. It is pretty depressing that the most effective way to change a law is with lots of money, but hey can we expect more in a capitalist country? hahaha. But don't get discouraged!! Weed is already medically legal in SO many states, it is only going to progess from this point. I definitely believe that in our lifetimes we will see a whole new attitude emerge about marijuana from everyone! I never knew about John Sperling thats amazing!
School is ugh. I'm ready to not be in school again lol. The Caribbean was just the most amazing experience I've had and being back here is super depressing haha I wake up every morning just wishing i would wake up in my little boat room with portholes looking out at the ocean.
